Lenovo's New Products: Something Different on the Desk

Lenovo has announced five new PC products for large businesses, led by an all-in-one desktop with a 23-inch touch-screen display. Starting at $899, the ThinkCentre M90z features an Intel Core i3 or i5 CPU, convenient toolless access to memory and hard and optical drives, and a 2-megapixel webcam with on-off switch. Options range from a height-adjustable stand or arm or wall mount to an SSD and Intel VPro technology.

For space-constrained financial offices, the ThinkStation C20 and C20x are compact dual-socket workstations -- 14 can be rackmounted in the space of 10 competitive systems -- that offer the latest Intel Xeon 5600 series processors and up to 48 or 96GB of memory, respectively. Featuring innovative cooling design for quiet operation, the workstations are ISV certified for demanding software applications.

The Lenovo L2330x Wide ($259) combines a 21.5-inch monitor and a port replicator for laptops or netbooks without docking stations. A single USB connection provides a 1,920 by 1,080 display, Ethernet, and three USB ports. The ThinkVision L2321x Wide ($279) is a 23-inch 1,920 by 1,080 monitor with dual inputs (VGA and DisplayPort) plus a multitasking mode that lets users see a standard-aspect-ratio application in one window while working with a second program in another, with more stability than software-based split-screen solutions.
